Thursday, August 27, 1992 to Sunday, August 30, 1992
Bhagavan visited Hyderabad between 27th and 30th August 1992. Bhagavan left Prashanti Nilayam with a small entourage on 27th morning, by the 20 seater Dornier aircraft. The flight was historic as Bhagavan flew from the Sri Sathya Sai Aerodrome for the first time. The aerodrome had been commissioned in November 1990. Bhagavan gave Darshan to the waiting crowd at the Begumpet Airport. He then proceeded to Shivam and the devotees assembled at Shivam were blessed with His Darshan.
From the moment of His arrival, Bhagavan was busy meeting dignitaries and visiting the Kalyana Mandapam in Srinagar colony to finalise the arrangements for the Inauguration Ceremony scheduled to be held on the 29th. The Kalyana Mandapam was to serve as a multipurpose community hall for the Sai Organisation. The Sathya Sai Central Tust had financed this project. The Government of Andhra Pradesh had donated the land for the Mandapam.
Bhagavan gave Darshan to the enormous crowd at Shivam on every morning and evening of His stay there. Bhagavan visited Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar on the 28th and blessed the staff and students of the school. He watched a Bharat Natyam recital by the school students in the assembly hall of the school.
